A few years back, Seattle legend, Steve G told me about a local skate company called Sausage Skateboards that was about to get its feet off the ground and he asked me if I would be down to meet his friends who owned it to start collaborating. I was still in school and it sounded like a dream come true. I'd been eager to be involved in the Seattle skate scene for years and was making strides towards that. I didn't really see it at the time but that conversation was the beginning of it all for me. Steve introduced me to a lot of the influential skaters in the Northwest which in turn introduced me to even more as time went on. The boys over at Sausage included me in their family from day one and I'll always be thankful for that. It's been a hell of a ride and the adventure never seems to end with them. A couple months ago on a visit back to Seattle we met up for a good summer BBQ. Beers, skates, swimming and sausages. Extra big props to Todd, Jesse and Steve for supporting me and being such rad dudes. They are a big reason the Seattle skate scene rules and I'm sure they'll keep it going for years to come.
